All of our business card stock come from sustainable paper sources.
Our card range explained:
350gsm Uncoated Budget range
Although we call this our budget range this is the card most printers use as their top end card stock. Since we introduced this card it has become by far our most popular card stock and the card of choice by many high street brands we supply.
300gsm Uncoated Textured
Re-introduced by popular demand, However this card is not suitable for designs with all over colour. The card has a laid pattern which can prevent all over colours reaching into the texture so can give the appearance of white dots in solid colours.
400gsm Uncoated Luxury range
Our top end and heaviest card, This is a premium card stock and slightly heavier than our 350gsm card.
400gsm Matt Laminated
Same as the 400gsm card but with a coating of Matt Lamination on both sides, this process gives the cards a superior luxury feel to the card. It can however being matt dull bright colours slightly as the lamination diffuses the light bouncing off the card .
400gsm Gloss Laminated.
The same process is applied as the Matt Lamination but a gloss version, this does not have the effect of dulling colours and can make the cards look brighter and sharper. This finish is difficult to write on using a ball point pen due to the lamination.
400gsm Soft Touch.
This process is similar to matt laminate but has a much softer feel to the finish, the texture is like a velvety soft feel of pure luxury. Some people refer to it like the skin of a peach. This is one of our top finish's and has to be felt to be fully appreciated. As with the matt lamination, this finish can dull bright colours slightly as the light reflecting off the card stock becomes defused unlike the Gloss Lamination.
We can also offer spot UV and gold/silver foiling on business cards by special request. Please contact us for more information on these finishes and we will gladly advise on preparing suitable artwork.
All card stock supplied are quoted by their weight per square metre, this does not indicate how thick the card is or how stiff. This is a very common misunderstanding of GSM.
Although all our card stock are uncoated, Toner once applied can give a silk or glossy finish depending on the coverage. We highly recommend a lamination is applied if you require a matt or high gloss finish.
